Emily Louise studied Music Performance at Coventry University, focusing the most part of her course around the Flute, whilst continuing to develop her skill on Clarinet and Saxophone both inside and outside of the course.
Emily has over 12 years of experience in performance, both solo and ensemble, and at all levels, so is able to tailor lessons to suit a range of needs and abilities. She has built up teaching experience over the course of the past 8 years, teaching private lessons and volunteering at local wind bands. In 2016, Emily began entering students for graded examinations with ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall. You can find the results of these examinations here.
From 2007-2013, Emily was a member of Forest Arts Centre, playing first in the Junior Wind Band, then progressing through the various bands before becoming a member of the Senior Wind Band. After advancing from the Junior Wind Band, Emily continued her attendance as a volunteer to support the band leaders and offer assistance to the less abled students.
Throughout her time at school, Emily offered her support in the school Big Band, and now returns at Christmas and at the end of the Summer Term to support the students and play in the Big Band.
Whilst studying for her degree, Emily began to teach more private lessons and built up an excellent client base as well as joining forces with another student (Violinist) to offer bespoke entertainment for weddings and other ceremonies.
Upon graduating, Emily has continued to teach whilst preparing to begin a Masters in Music Performance in September 2017.
Currently, Emily performs as part of the Central England Concert Band.
